Description
Khbrati is a UAE government-supported digital platform designed to empower skilled individuals by showcasing their professional talents and linking them to relevant self-employment and work opportunities
Challenge
When we designed and launched the Khbrati platform, the main challenge was transforming a traditional talent ecosystem into a digital self-employment marketplace that could:
Accurately represent a wide variety of skills and professional profiles, not just standardized jobs;
Foster trust and quality for both talent and opportunity seekers in a largely non-traditional work economy;
Integrate with existing UAE government employment infrastructure while remaining user-centric and accessible.
This meant rethinking onboarding flows, talent validation, and search/matching mechanics in a context where formal employment models dominate.
Results
Successfully established a centralized portal for showcasing individual skills and self-employment options within the UAE workforce landscape.
Increased visibility for locally-based talent by enabling users to present detailed professional profiles, expanding access to gig-economy and freelance opportunities.
Built a foundation that supports future integration with broader workforce development initiatives, aligning self-employment with strategic economic goals in the region
