Description

Mawhiba is a Saudi foundation dedicated to discovering and nurturing gifted students through specialized programs, assessments, and enrichment opportunities.

Challenge

Designing for Mawhiba meant serving students, parents, and educators with very different goals and emotional contexts.

The main issues were:

  • Unclear user journeys across programs, assessments, and registrations, causing confusion and drop-offs

  • Information overload written in institutional language instead of user-friendly guidance

  • Fragmented flows that made key actions (exploring programs, applying, tracking status) feel disconnected

  • Lack of emotional support in high-stress moments like testing and waiting for results

The challenge was to simplify decisions, guide users step by step, and make the experience feel supportive rather than bureaucratic.

Results

The redesign focused on clarity, guidance, and reducing friction across core journeys.

  • Simplified program discovery with goal-based navigation for students and parents

  • Higher completion rates by breaking long forms into clear steps and improving microcopy

  • Less user confusion through better status tracking and process explanations

  • More reassuring experience with supportive language and clearer feedback during waiting periods

The platform shifted from being a complex portal to a more guided, human-centered experience that helped users move forward with confidence.
